SHARP PC-1360

Description

Brand: SHARP
Model: PC-1360
Type: BASIC-programmable Pocket Computer
Picture: SHARP PC-1360
Batteries: CR2032 x 2
Lifetime: Introduced: 1987
Terminated: unknown
Notes: Successor to the SHARP PC-1350.

SHARP CE-212M Improved version of its predecessor, obviously. It has two RAM extension slots and a slightly faster CPU. With two extension slots the maximum RAM is 64 kB. It is machine code programmable as well and a Service Manual is available as well. It can not use the RAM cards for the SHARP PC-1350.

No screwing is required to change its batteries. The battery compartment is simply hidden under one of the RAM extension slots.

Personally I really like the look and feel of this Pocket Computer. It feels solid and looks really clean and neat. One drawback, after each keypress the whole screen is redrawn.

Peripherals

My knowledge of this Pocket Computer’s peripherals is limited, however I know there’s a printer/cassette interface (I own one). There are also all kinds of extension (memory) modules, and an RS232 cable.
